As new data emerges, Alabama REALTORS® may, from time to time, update these figures to reflect more recent information.

May 2025 Report 

  • Alabama had 6,214 home sales in May,a 7.3% increase from the previous month and an increase of 379 from last year.
  • The median sales price rose 2.3% from April to $230,130, which is $14,510 higher than a year ago—a 6.7% annual increase
  • There were 526 foreclosures in May, up 6.3% from the previous month and 13.9% from one year ago.
  • The sold volume totaled $1.70 billion in May, up 10.4% month-over-month and $0.36 billion higher than last May, marking a 26.9% annual increase.
  • Alabama had 19,709 active listings at the end of May, up 24.9% from 15,776 one year ago.
