Alabama voters went to the polls last Tuesday, June 16 for the 2026 Primary Runoff Election. Statewide voter turnout was very low at approximately 11%. The primary elections were successful for candidates endorsed by the Alabama Association of REALTORS® Political Action Committee (ARPAC). Ninety-two percent (92%) of ARPAC-endorsed candidates won. The endorsed candidates demonstrated a commitment to protecting property rights, supporting small businesses, and advancing policies that keep Alabama’s real estate market strong and stable. Below are several notable races.

• Lieutenant Governor: Former Republican Party Chair John Wahl won the runoff with 57% of the vote. 
• Attorney General: Lawyer Katherine Robertson won the runoff with 55% of the vote. 
• Agriculture Commissioner: Douglas Mayor Corey Hill won the runoff with 53% of the vote.
• U.S. Senate: Congressman Barry Moore won the Republican runoff with 56% of the vote, while Everett Wess won the Democratic runoff with 55% of the vote. 
• Public Service Commission, Place 2: Jim Zeigler won the runoff with 51% of the vote.

• House: Representative Frances Holk Jones won the Republican runoff in House District 95 with 52% of the vote. Representative Pebblin Warren won the Democratic runoff in House District 82 with 61% of the vote.
