Dear Alabama REALTOR®,

I hope this letter finds you well and preparing for the holiday season. We are writing to request you please save the date for a Membership Meeting next month on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Alabama Association of REALTORS® Building at 522 Washington Avenue, Montgomery, AL. Sign-in will begin at 11:15 am. The meeting will begin at 11:30am or immediately after the AAR Board of Directors Meeting that will occur earlier that morning. We estimate the meeting will last no more than 10-15 minutes.  If you are planning to attend, please be sure you RSVP at the link below! 

The purpose of the meeting will be to consider a governance proposal that clarifies two policies previously reviewed by the Governance and Elections PAG and approved by the Board of Directors and Membership at their most recent meetings in October. Governance Proposal and Recommendation: Here is an overview of the governance proposal and recommendation:

• Motion 1: This proposed update would clarify two policies previously reviewed by the Governance and Election PAG and approved by the Board of Directors and Membership at their meetings in October. The Board approved April 30 as the date to determine Board size, aligning more closely with the dues billing deadline in March each year as defined in Policies & Procedures Section 2.10, Paragraph C. The Membership approved an updated process for filling vacancies as outlined in Bylaws Article V, Section 3.  (Motion 1 can be found on the Resource Page) 

Attendance/ RSVP: Please let us know if you will be able to attend. An RSVP is required for attendance. Lunch will be provided after the meeting, and the dress code is business casual. Parking is available at the Association’s lot at 502 Washington Avenue. The RSVP deadline is Friday, December 6, 2024. You can RSVP here.
